Location of the Titanic

The Titanic is located 480 miles southeast of Newfoundland, Canada. The Titanic sank about 4,000 m (13,123 ft) beneath the ocean. The Titanic was discovered by Robert Ballard's French/American expedition with search ship Knorr and uncrewed submersible Argo on September 1,1985. One year later, Robert Ballard returned and photographed the wreck in a tiny submarine called Alvin. The Titanic sank 106 years ago, in 1912.
